About Us
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is a very popular concept, vision or strategy to deliver improved business capabilities and achieve competitive advantage. Many have embarked onto deploying a range of solutions to eliminate waste, reduce time to market, accelerate New Product Creation, improve collaboration and open innovation. Few have actually achieved the benefits of “true PLM” because changing the business end-to-end typically requires complex transformational changes which cannot be achieved in isolation. Key success factors include robust programme management methodology associated with stakeholder governance to support organisational and cultural changes that will be required to change the business and realise full business benefits of the new PLM processes.
John Knight-Gregson has had a long Engineering career in the automotive sector (34 years), starting in Power Train Design and Development, progressing through, managing CAD , managing CAE, running PD IT, being the JLR PMTI (Process, Methods, Tools and Information) voice into Ford, managing the Tools and Technology group, to designing and delivering the PLM Strategy across the company.
John was instrumental in his previous roles in delivering robust quality business-driven PMTI solutions and as part of the Ford corporation. He was also a key player in ensuring operation continuity during the ownership transition from Ford to Tata Motors.
He obtained a BSc in Mechanical Engineering at Salford University and whilst with Jaguar Cars obtained a Masters in ‘Advanced Technology’ at Aston University.
